Technology for energy utilization of used polymeric parts from discarded cars

The presented result specifies the conditions for the energy utilization of used car parts based on polymers concerning the ensuring of energy gain and the minimizing of negative impacts on the environment. The energy recovery of the waste is performed in a furnace device that ensures the movement of the combusted bed. The crushed oblong-shaped waste is fed into the reaction chamber by a screw feeder, the temperature in the reaction chamber is maintained at approximately 730 °C, and the flue gas flows into the secondary chamber where a temperature of 850 °C is reached. Achievement of the acceptable emission limits is dependent on the dosing of a calcium hydroxide alkaline sorbent with a specific surface area of 70 m2.g-1 (+/-20 %). The sorbent is dosed into the flue gas space at 130 °C (+/-10 %). The quantity of sorbent dosed shall be a minimum of 1,5 wt.% about the quantity of waste incinerated. The HCl concentration can be reduced by more than 45 %, the HF concentration by more than 15 %, and the SO2 concentration by more than 35 %.
