Sposób uzyskiwania koncentratu żelaza z żużli metalurgicznych

The method is based on the effective disintegration of fine-grained metallurgical slags in an aqueous environment with the help of ultrasound. Such a treated suspension is then subjected to the magnetic separation process, and as a result the magnetic and non-magnetic fractions are obtained. The separated magnetic fraction is dried to a constant mass, and an iron concentrate with up to 80 mass % of Fe is obtained. The amount of separated magnetic fraction can be increased with a previous calcination step, when the slag is thermally treated at a temperature of 600 to 1000 °C for at least 60 min before the separation procedure is applied.
