CHROME BIOSORPTION WITH ECO-FRIENDLY IMMOBILIZED BIOSORBENT IN WASTE WATER
Today, with the development of the industry, the industrial wastewater that comes out causes heavy metal pollution in our environment. Heavy metals pass into the water due to soil and air pollution and natural factors such as rain and snow. These heavy metals, which are found in high concentrations, create a toxic effect, that are causing accumulation in living organisms and various diseases. In order to find a solution to the problem of heavy metal pollution, as a result of the literature studies we have done, in the experimental procedure we have created, the extraction of chitosan from chitin (the shell of shrimp, which is a sea creature, washing, drying, mechanical fragmentation, deproteinization process, demineralization process, decolorization process, deacetylation process), preparation of waste biomass. (Walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts, pistachios, sunflower seeds shells are sorted out, washed, dried, milled, sieved in a sieve), Spirulina is added, immobilized biosorbent is obtained, immobilized biosorbent gains magnetic properties and stabilizes. Reduction process, removal of heavy metal Cr from wastewater, spectroscopic Cr analysis, SEM and EDS analysis, regeneration of immobilized biosorbent and recovery as Cr(OH)3 were carried out. As a result; Thanks to the biopolymers we obtain by evaluating the waste biomass in our environment, we have produced a new generation, environmentally friendly, eco-friendly, economic, natural, high biosorption potential, non- toxic, biocompatible, biodegradable biosorbent. As a result of our optimization studies, industrial wastewater was cleaned by the biosorption of Cr heavy metal in industrial wastewater at a rate of 95.10% of powder immobilized beads in dry state with magnetic properties. Immobilized biosorbent regeneration feature has been developed and 83.51% of the Cr retained by the magnetically activated dry beads was recovered. Thus, Cr heavy metal can be reused in different sectors in the industry.
