ZoP Styrofoam and Oyster Shells as Backsplash Tiles

This study aims to make use of oyster shells and Styrofoam for the manufacturing of backsplash tiles. After an intense drying process, a finished product was made. The durability of the product was tested by cutting it with a sander disc and seeing if the product will remain compact. The product successfully passed the trial, taking 7 minutes before it was finally cut. In the water absorption test, the tile is classified as a vitreous tile with a percentage of 1.59%.
