Those mechanisms use specialized pneumatic cells that compress under the action of waves and create pressure that moves air to the generator where it acts as a working body The paper proposes the design of a system for the conversion of wave energy using a multi-stage buoy type mechanism floating on the water surface. The principle of operation of these buoys will be as follows: ● Under the action of the waves, the pneumatic cell is compressed. ● Because of the created pressure, the air begins to move along the tube, ● Then this air acts as a working body in the generator. From these elements, batteries can be created, which will allow obtaining much greater power and technologically optimal values of current. The advantage of the proposed approach is environmental friendliness and the possibility of doing oceanographic research as a side activity to energy generation. Based on the analysis of available sources in the domain of electric energy generation from renewable sources, in particular tidal power plants and buoy type electric generators, an efficient method of generation and mechanism components was chosen. The principle of electricity generation can be based on electromagnetic induction or piezoelectric effect. An experimental prototype of one of the parts of the mechanism for converting the mechanical energy of waves was developed and an experiment was done to study its operational characteristics with the purpose of further improvement.
