Microclimate monitoring in classrooms of educational institutions using modern digital devices

In my project, I substantiated the importance of maintaining microclimate norms in educational premises, as well as the possible consequences of their violations, such as a plenty of diseases, unproductiveness, headache, low concentration of attention etc. Using the Einstein Tablet+2 digital laboratory, I monitored such microclimate parameters as temperature, relative humidity, and illumination. In addition, I measured the change in the level of CO2 and relative humidity during the lessons. Then I compared them with sanitary regulations. Therefore, I experimentally ensured that the microclimate of my school is mostly out of standards (this could mean that some part of other educational institutions more or less has the same problem). Thus, I can conclude that educational institutions need means to improve microclimatic conditions. And, taking into account the fact that the values of all the studied parameters depend on many external factors such as the season, time of day, weather conditions, the number of people in a classroom, etc., it seems appropriate to conduct continuous monitoring of these parameters. That is why I decided to create a system that can receive the values of the microclimate parameters (temperature, humidity, CO2 level and illumination) in real-time during the working day in each room of a building and automatically normalize them using unique devices. I called it “The system of centralized control and automatic improvement of microclimate”, abbreviated as SCCAIM. This system will be able to control and normalize temperature, humidity, CO2 level, and illumination. Moreover, it will able to filter dust, bacteria, and generally PM2.5 particles, which are very hazardous to health. In addition, the panel of sensors transmits received data via Wi-Fi to the main computer. There the data is saved and processed. Besides, I described existing, but more expensive and less convenient, possible methods and recommendations for adjusting microclimate parameters.
