Crutch is a long stick with a crosspiece at the top, used as a support under the armpit. This crutch is used to solve the inconvenience problem caused by the environment and space, the crutch is important to older or injured people and it meets their living functions demand. It is more convenient for them when they go out. This crutch design focuses on safety considerations and attach a variety of functions, so the elderly can easy to take care of themselves and it is also their companion in their life. The crutch is called as SMART CRUTCH which is an improved version of current crutch which is upgraded from various aspects to ensure satisfaction in using this product. As for this innovation project, it occupies scented glycerin gel – based cushion on top of a crutch which reduces the skin irritations around the armpit and prevent fault smell. Our SMART CRUTCH also uses the concept of folding, which the crutch can be folded for easier storage if it is not in use. We also build it using materials such as normal crutch with polyester shoulder strap, mini pocket, pressure absorber which can give more comfort and easier for the users. As conclusion, our product SMART CRUTCH can surely help many people in this world especially people whom are injured, disable and the one underwent surgery.
